I am a lawyer in Mesa Arizona, who enjoys writing about tax issues and representing local individuals and small businesses who are having problems with the IRS, or who are in need of some estate or business planning.
Most of my clients are being directly contacted by the IRS for payment of back tax, missing returns, an audit, assessment of tax etc. I help them by thoroughly reviewing their personal financial and tax histories, determining the best route to deal with the problem, and then helping them solve the problem.
Fortunately for most, whether it is the appeal and litigation of an assessment, offer in compromise, tax motivated bankruptcy, etc. there will be a "best" solution for those with the determination to get there.
My hope is that for those with serious tax collection problems, or a need of estate or business planning, this blog will be a good place to learn about the related law and potential solutions.
